Node
Also: nodes, full node
A computer that keeps a copy of a blockchain and checks that new transactions follow the rules.
Nodes are how a blockchain stays decentralised: each one checks every rule independently instead of trusting anyone else. Anyone can run a full node, and more independent nodes make the network harder to capture or censor.
