Malicious code, often behind a fake website, that tricks users into signing transactions that empty their wallet.
Drainers are sold as ready-made kits to scammers. The victim connects a wallet to a fake site and signs what looks routine, often a token approvalToken approval Permission you give a smart contract to move a specific token from your wallet. or “permit”. The drainer then sweeps every valuable token it can. Reading what you sign, and never signing on sites reached through unsolicited links, prevents most cases.
